This is a medium-sized, 41cm or 16 inch, blue and white, oval serving platter from the Société Céramique Maastricht in the Netherlands. It's in their "Rouen" pattern. It was made around the 1930s and is decorated with a blue and white transfer pattern known as "Rouen".
Large platters are a great way to present food and Christmas dinner is the obvious excuse to use this one. Old china tableware is still usable, but don't put them in a dishwasher or leave them soaking in really hot water.
This was made by the Dutch company Société Céramique of Maastricht. Their lion rampant maker's mark is printed on the underside, with the pattern name "Rouen" beneath.
