A handmade, colourful, studio pottery design inspired by British coastal fishing boats, with registration code 'PZ32'. New.
What's for sale?
This is a handmade, earthenware olive dish by British potter Val Sparkes. The shape is inspired by traditional British coastal fishing boats. On both sides is the identification code 'PZ32', the letters being the registration code for Penzance in Cornwall.
The design echoes the older boats from years gone by and the colours are a blend of red, cream and pale green. These are charming, hand-built and hand-painted items.
Theses olive dish boats are from her 'All at Sea' range which also featured her shipping forecast designs. While her earlier work featured animals and the countryside, her later pieces tended to feature the sea.
