This is a signed, Trifari flower brooch, made during the 1940s or 1950s. It uses a dusty pink Lucite for the petals.
Lucite is a brand of acrylic and replaced the use of earlier plastics like Bakelite, Catalin, Celluloid and Galalith in jewellery production.
The pin is fastened by a rollover clasp.
Who made it and when?
It was made by the American costume jewellery maker Trifari. The signature on the back features the Crown, without copyright symbol, suggesting this was made during the 1940s or early 1950s.
