What's for sale?
This is a small, signed brooch of a maple leaf, made by Coro in a silver tone metal alloy.
It catches light well and we like the contrasting design: a brushed matt finish, engraved leaf veins and polished and bevelled edges.
Who made it and when?
On the back it's engraved:
Note that Coro Sterling is the name of the jewellery range, not a reference to silver; this is made from a white metal alloy.
Coro Inc. made costume jewellery using variations of the name Coro from 1942 until the company's end during the 1990s. The company's final years of production were based solely in Canada, so maybe it's a later piece.
What condition is it in?
- Second-hand
- In very good condition
