Tall Green Vaseline Glass Jug

What's for sale?

This is a tall and slender, handblown glass jug in pale green, Vaseline or uranium glass.

This collectable type of glass fell out of general production during the 1950s, so this jug was probably made earlier than that.

Uranium glass is so called because of the miniscule inclusion of Uranium Dioxide during manufacture. It's harmless and no more radioactive that than most other things in our homes; the glow under UV light is a chemical reaction.

This jug's fluorescence has been tested under UV light, as shown in one of our photographs.

What condition is it in?

It's second-hand, in very good condition, with no chips or cracks.
