What's for sale?
This is the charming Swatch "Roi Soleil" ladies' watch made by the Swiss company for their 1993 catalogue. It was a special edition watch for Christmas 1993, celebrating King Louis 14th of France: "the Sun King".
It has a pale blue face with lines radiating from 12 o'clock, gold-coloured numerals and small diamante stones on the outer edge of the face and on each of the scrolled hour and minute hands. It catches the light beautifully.
The watch case is made from clear resin and the leather strap is faced with red satin, gold-coloured stitching and two diamante stones.
The watch comes with its original presentation box, with satin interior and decorated with a portrait of Louis XIV wearing the watch.
It has a quartz movement powered by a 390 battery.
