What's for sale?
This is the Swatch "Empire State" unisex watch made by the Swiss watchmaker for their Autumn/Winter 1999 catalogue. The model number is GK309.
The dial is a lovely, graduated blue sky with a silvery grey Empire State building towering between 6 and 12 o'clock. The numerals are in the same grey, the sweep second hand is in white and the hour and minute hands are luminous white. It's a clear, easy-to-read dial.
The multicoloured strap is a summary of the Empire State building's lighting schedule: the tower lights change colour to suit certain important days in the US calendar. You can see the current lighting at Empire State Building Tower Lights.
The watch case is clear resin, which from the back reveals the ETA quartz movement inside. It's powered by a 390 battery.
