A 13 inch, Victorian, Blue and White, oval serving platter. Second-hand.
What's for sale?
This is an oval serving platter in Royal Crown Derby's "Derby Peacock Blue" pattern. It's a medium-sized platter, spanning 13 inches or 33cm.
The eye-catching, blue and white design shows three peacocks running around a central flower, amid a highly-detailed floral pattern. The edge of the plate has also been highlighted with a thin, gold-coloured line.
The range included a variety of tableware and the pattern was also available in orange and red.
Large platters like this present food beautifully and are perfect for Christmas dinner. Old china tableware can continue to be used and enjoyed, but it shouldn't be put in a dishwasher or left immersed in hot water. Wash by hand with warm water and washing-up liquid.
