This is a rare, small, sample or trial-size tin from mid 20th century Britain. It was made for the British manufacture A & F Pears Limited for their Jif brand shaving stick, which was used to foam up into a lather.
The graphics have typically-muted mid-century colouring and mimic the traditional, striped barber's pole. The stick is missing, but the waxed paper lining is intact.
What condition is it in?
