Monet Asymmetric Two Tone Brooch

What's for sale?

This is a signed, asymmetrical brooch by Monet in two-tone, silver and gold coloured metal.

The colours are bright and the shape is a rounded triangle, reminiscent of a guitar plectrum. It's a fairly heavy brooch that could also be used to pin scarves and so on.

Who made it and when?

It was made by the American costume jewellery maker Monet and is embossed on the back:

The copyright symbol was added to the name after 1955.

What condition is it in?

• Second-hand
• In fair condition
• There's some scuffing, particularly at the top but the colours are intact
• The pin and clasp work perfectly

What are the measurements?

• 4 x 4cm in diameter
