What's for sale?
This is a set of four, small, handmade liqueur glasses, by the famous Danish glassmaker Kastrup Holmegaard, and part of their iconic "Princess" range.
These are the small liqueur glasses, which share the same profile of the range's very popular champagne saucers.
The 1957 design for the Princess range, with a conical stem and captured bubble, is probably the most widely known of Danish architect Bent Severin's work. The range featured a variety of sizes and profiles, all sharing the same clean, modern lines. He also designed hotels and the Severin Group, is still a highly regarded, global designer of hotels.
The Princess range was manufactured between 1958 and 1995. The "Kastrup Glas" labels on these glasses date them before 1965, when the Holmegaard and Kastrup factories merged, so they are among the oldest you could find.
