A signed, blue and brown, salt glazed teapot with bamboo handle. Second-hand.
What's for sale?
This is a good-sized, teapot finished with a beautifully-textured salt glaze in blues and browns.
It was made by Jane Hamlyn, the highly regarded British potter, known for her skills with this technique and for her ability to produce interesting designs of functional, day-to-day objects.
Salt glaze is produced by adding salt and other ingredients into the kiln during the high temperature part of the firing. This is another fine example and the blue and brown colouring works well. It's completed by a bamboo handle.
