Iridescent Royal Brierley Studio Glass Bowl

What's for sale?

This is an iridescent glass bowl from the Royal Brierley's art glass, Studio range. It has an abstract pattern in silver and grey which on the inside shimmers beautifully with an oil-on-water effect. The outside has a matt finish which contrasts really well with the interior. It's a very nice item.

Royal Brierley commissioned the renowned craftsman Michael Harris to produce designs for their new Studio range. They wanted him to replicate his designs for Isle of Wight Studio Glass, such that they could be made in Royal Brierley's factory. These beautiful patterns were the result, available in half a dozen base colours.

The Royal Brierley Studio range was produced during the 1980s and 1990s. This piece is signed on the base:
