This is a set of four large glasses for beer or water, desiged for Holmegaard by their Danish master glass blower Per Lütken.
These are from his "Canada" glass range, which is more commonly found in smoked grey. These are the rarer examples in clear glass.
They have a heavy base and sit comfortably in your hand. They're another example of Danish design: timeless, uncomplicated and functional.
Who made them and when?
Per Lütken worked at the Holmegaard Glass Factory from 1942 until his death in 1998. He was one of their most advanced glass blowers. He designed more than 3000 ranges for them and believe this design is from the 1950s.
