This is a small ice bucket produced by Holmegaard in a cool, pale-blue glass. It has a wicker handle and is also good for keeping a wine bottle cool.
The body has a gentle, horizontal banding which catches the eye and there are two fluted handles through which the wicker is looped. All Holmegaard glass is blown, either by hand or machine, and the bottom is slightly concave where the pontil has been polished out.
There are no ice tongs with this bucket, but it still has the metal stand, which tends to go missing. The stand keeps ice cubes out of the melt water and a bottle out of the condensation pool.
It was probably made by the Danish glass maker during the 1960s or 1970s. The design is an older one and usually attributed to their principal designer, Jacob Bang (1899-1965).
