What's for sale?
This is a set of six Holmegaard "Blue Bells" wine glasses in their original boxes.
They're a nicely-shaped glass with flared stems, short bowls and flared and beaded rims. It's customary for this size and shape to be matched with white and rosé wines, although we're happy to enjoy wine in most glasses.
The final touch of decoration is two blue bands around the bowl, so the name "Blue Bells" seems appropriate.
Who made them and when?
They were made by the well-regarded, Danish glass manufacturer Holmegaard. Blue Bells is one of their modern ranges, first introduced in 1986. These glasses have "2003" etched on their feet, which is the year of manufacture.
