A Limoges Porcelain Ashtray for Mumm's Cordon Vert Champagne
This is a small, rectangular, white, porcelain ashtray with pale green edging and branding "Cordon Vert".
It was made for Mumm, the long established French producer, famous for it's brut Cordon Rouge and demi-sec Cordon Vert champagnes. The ashtray was also made in France by Havilland, one of the world's most well known makers of porcelain, in Limoges, France.
Haviland is named after its American-born founder David Haviland, a ceramics importer who decided to swap his life in New York for a new life and a new company in France. On the underside is the maker's mark, which reads

- The underside has a lot of wear but the maker's mark is very strong
