What's for sale?
This is a distinctive teapot, with a high gloss, drip glaze finish, known as Honeycomb. It was made by Fosters Pottery of Redruth, Cornwall.
It's an interesting design, oval in shape, like an oil lamp and with an oval lid to match. It's functional and meant for daily use, and holds 2 pints (just over 1 litre).
The honeycomb range included a wide variety of forms and was available in cream, brown and the green you see here. It's become quite collectable, owing to the finish and the striking designs. The colours on this teapot are some of the nicest we've seen.
