What's for sale?
This is a beautiful bracelet of blue and white enamel over gold-plated Sterling silver, made by Norwegian jeweller David Andersen. Vermeil is the name given to plating silver with gold.
It comprises eleven gold-plated, Sterling silver panels, joined via pairs of silver links and fastened with a push-pull tongue clasp.
On each wide panel is a basse taille, sunburst, visible beneath the white enamel. On the smaller panels are champlevé flowers in a royal blue enamel.
Basse-taille (low cut) is the technique of engraving a pattern in relief and covering it with enamel, such that the engraving is still visible beneath.
Champlevé (raised field) is the technique of hollowing out bordered sections, filling them with enamel and polishing, such that a uniform height is achieved.
Who made it and when?
It was made by the Norwegian manufacturer David Andersen, which has been producing innovative jewellery designs for over 130 years. The maker's mark on the back reads:

- NORWAY STERLING 925S
It could have been made at any time since the 1950s or 1960s.
