A signed, pale blue and gold leaf, articulated bracelet. Second-hand.
What's for sale?
This is a signed bracelet of pale blue Lucite* panels in silver tone settings.
Each panel appears to be a hollow Lucite shell, painted on the inside, but left in patches to reveal flecks of gold leaf or gold-coloured paint.
It's an articulated bracelet, composed of six panels and five loops, secured by a fold-over clasp.
It was made by the American costume jewellery company Coro. The clasp is engraved "Coro" which dates it after 1955. From it's appearance and wear, it was most likely made during the 1960s.
*Lucite is a brand of acrylic plastic, introduced during the 1930s and eventually replacing earlier plastics like Celluloid, Bakelite and Catalin in jewellery production.
