What's for sale?
This is a signed, white metal, choker length, floral necklace by Coro Jewelcraft.
It's a pretty design comprising an articulated, repeating pattern of clear and gold-coloured rhinestones, arranged diagonally in pairs with two white leaves. Each stone is set among six tiny petals. In all, there are twenty three leaf and flower sections.
At each end is an extender chain with a shepherd's hook fastener at one end and the Jewelcraft pine cone at the other, for altering the length.
The colours give it a fresh and natural, spring-like appearance, and it would be a nice choice for wedding jewellery.
Who made it and when?
Coro was a prolific, American manufacturer of costume jewellery. This was made by their British division Jewelcraft. Coro could not trade under their own name, due to its similarity to the British jewellery maker Ciro. At one end of the chain is Jewelcraft's trademark pine cone. We think this was made during the 1960s.
