A signed, gold-tone, choker necklace of amber and orange coloured rhinestones. Second-hand.
What's for sale?
This is a signed, choker length, floral necklace by Coro Jewelcraft. The design comprises gold tone alloy leaves and petals, set with amber and orange coloured rhinestones.
In detail, the design repeats two sections. The first is a single flower set with a dark, faceted rhinestone at its centre. The second section is an arrangement of leaves and berries, using five faceted rhinestones of varying colour, shape and size. In all, there are seven flowers and six of the leaf arrangements.
At each end is a bar chain, with a shepherd's hook fastener at one end and an extender chain on the other, for altering the length.
The rich colours give it a warm and natural appearance and it's also a nice choice for bridal or wedding jewellery.
Who made it and when?
It was made by Coro's British manufacturer Jewelcraft, probably during the 1960s. At one end of the chain is Jewelcraft's trademark pine cone. Coro were not allowed to trade under their own name, due to its similarity to the British costume jeweller Ciro.
