A set of five large, handmade liqueur or aperitif glasses with a tulip-shaped bowl. Second-hand.
What's for sale?
This is a set of five large, handmade liqueur or aperitif glasses with a tulip-shaped bowl. The style is 1970s Scandinavian, but they're by Caithness glass of Scotland. These are from their Canisbay range, which was a 1970s design by renowned, Scottish glass artist Colin Terris. The colour of the goblet is a beautiful, violet hue known as Heather.
At 75ml, they are larger than a shot glass and so are probably more suited to liqueurs, sherry and port.
The thick, conical stems are made in clear glass, emphasising the violet-coloured bowls, which graduate in depth of colour. The overall look of the stems and tulip-shaped bowls is very well balanced and the chunky stems feel safe in the palm of your hand.
